Drug withdrawal can be painful for those really addicted to drugs. In fact, that's why when addicts try to quit drugs by themselves, they can't handle the pain and misery so they go right back to using drugs again. Not to mention that using drugs actually becomes a real habit by itself. What is the addict supposed to do when trying to get off drugs? With out some real guidance and encouragement, quitting drugs can be a hassle. If you know someone on drugs, reach out and see what you can do to get them some help to stop using drugs. There might be some resistance if the person doesn't want the help, but some addicts realize they have a problem with drugs and will take the help. There are ways to get a person help to quit using drugs even if they don't want the help. Look into it before you pressure them and blame them as it could make the drug problem worse, but don't give up. You will be thanked later.
